The oceans of the world cover 79% of the surface of the planet we wrongly call “earth”, so if we want to know what the largest part of our planet really looks like we have to take a plunge!
Why dive in the Sea of Cortez? The northernmost intact coral reef in the northern hemisphere, diving with marine mammals such as sea lions, clean and crystal clear water with visibility often exceeding 33 m (100 ft.)., pleasant water temperatures of 27°C (80 F) at depth in the summer and autumn months, are only some of the reasons to experience it. But by far the biggest attraction of diving these waters is still the same reason that compelled world-famous oceanographer Jacques Cousteau to baptize the Sea of Cortez “the largest natural aquarium in the world”: this ocean is an amazing oasis full of an incredible diversity of life! You have to see it for yourself!
Scuba diving is a great option and Aventuras México Profundo offers professional programs for all levels certified by the international agency Scuba Schools International (SSI).
