Accommodation
Aventuras México Profundo offers hotel accommodation - trips as well as tours with mixed hotel and camping accommodation. Nevertheless we would like to point out that the term “hotel tour” does not refer to sunbathing the whole day by the pool but rather it describes a concept of activity during the day while enjoying the comfort of a hotel facility after having been outside all day.
The hotels (2-Star to 4-Star category) or lodges are carefully picked out taking into account their setting and surroundings, style of the exterior and interior design, overall cleanliness, service facilities and attention by the hotel staff, quality of food and beverages if offered, security and of course size, outfitting, cleanliness and comfort of the guest rooms. All hotels in the mountainous part of the Copper Canyon also have either stoves or heating.
Our camping equipment comprises igloo-style tents (three-person tents are used for two), camping furniture such as tables, stools and lanterns and a complete camping kitchen. Personal items such as plates, cups, cutlery and isolation mattress are also provided.
For hygiene reasons the sleeping bag should be brought by the guest. We normally use established camp sites and most of these have sanitary installations; if not, we carry a camp shower and sun powered hot water bags.
México has an excellent and renowned cuisine, recently declared Cultural World Heritage, and Baja California is no exception.
Its large variety of seafood couldn’t be fresher and its steaks, the specialty of northern Mexico, are tender and mouth-watering. Our aim is to let you experience the whole variety of Mexican food - from upscale restaurants to rustic truck stops in the countryside.
And of course you shouldn’t miss trying tacos at a typical taquería normally only frequented by locals. All of the restaurants we take you to are hand-picked and regularly inspected for hygiene and food safety.
Our Mexican chef uses only fresh and natural ingredients in her camping kitchen, including salads, vegetables and fruits. All food is prepared according to the highest hygiene standards.
