08-03-2017February 2017 Cradle of the Grey Whale And Blue Whales
We spent a fascinating 10 days in Baja California where we touched grey whales, saw breaching and tail slapping humpbacks and our boat was rocked by a blue whale surfacing alongside. The scenery was varied and the secrets of succulents was entertainingly revealed by our guide Orloff. His knowledge and saucy anecdotes made for a special trip. The emotion engendered by such close encounters with whales will be forever in our memories. Will be recommending this trip to all my friends .

06-03-2017Excellent trip guided by Orloff through Baja California in January. This was principally a grey whale trip and we visited all 3 lagoons. I experienced some terrific sightings including new born whales coming very close. But I also found other aspects of Baja California really interesting especially the beautiful missions and the flora. Highly recommended trip.

08-11-2016Mexico - A unique experience
We were travelling Mexico two weeks and enjoyed a simply wonderful trip! We started in Chihuahua taking the legendary "CHEPE"-train to the Copper Canyon at Divisadero. Not only the Hotel directly suited at the Canyon, but also the adventures, Zip Lining and breath-taking "Via Ferrata" were just beautiful and exciting! We continued via CHEPE (amazing track!) to El Fuerte where we got to know the colonial architecture and learned a lot on the beauty of countryside touring Rio Fuerte with exotic birds, plants and Indio history! Then, we went to Pacific and Sea of Cortez, relaxing at great resorts in Todos Santos and La Paz. We enjoyed the Pacific, lonely beaches, swimming with a dozen Whalesharks and Sea Lions! Finally, we visited Mexico City - a must for every trip over there! We planned the trip with Orloff Nagorski of Aventuras México Profundo who advised us on this exclusive insider trip and took individual care. Thank you so much for perfect organization and one of the best times in our life! We'll be back! :-)

29-03-2016We have just returned from Audley Travel's 'Cradle of the Grey Whale' tour of March 2016. We had a fantastic holiday which included a memorable encounter with a grey whale and her calf in the San Ignacio lagoon. With weather conditions ideal, we also went out on an additional boat trip from Loreto where we saw 5 blue whales as well as a large pod of dolphin who rode the bow of our boat.
The whole trip ran smoothly and our tour leader Orloff was an excellent guide. His extensive knowledge of the flora and fauna of Baja California added greatly to the enjoyment of our holiday. We would thoroughly recommend this trip.

07-03-2016Dear Adventura MP, we are only a few days home from a 10 day whale watching trip in Baja California Sur. It is fresh in our minds as the trip of a lifetime but know the memories will endure for years to come.
Orloff's professionalism integrity and guiding skills helped us appreciate all aspects of the state & country, it's history, culture, and of-course marine biology all within the context of the wonderful natural planet we inhabit together. We laughed and laughed throughout the trip and cried with delight at our magical encounters with the "big 3" whales.
Meeting like minded travelers increased our enjoyment of the experience. Lots of travel is programmed as interestingly as the great highlights. We love cacti!
On our last day alone before flying home we felt a little lost without our master guide Orloff, but took off for a mission visit and estuary walk, inspired. Think he would have been proud of the list of flora and fauna we racked up, including turtles, iguana, heron, pelican, butterflies, and birds of prey! We cannot recommend this tour highly enough to those who wish to encounter these amazing creatures with respect and authenticity.

25-02-2016Many Thanks for guiding our recent holiday with Audley tours, we had a fantastic time which exceeded all our expectations. The interaction with whales was a surreal experience and we have photos and memories to last forever. Your vast knowledge of all things Baja was both interesting and incredible. From whales to cacti, geology to chorizo! We loved it all and will enthuse friends to visit and experience this wonderful part of the world. Thank you.

17-05-2015We travelled on The Cradle of the Grey Whale trip at the end of January. What a wonderful time we had. The whale watching was incredible as although the calves were small (some only days old) they were still extremely curious and tried to approach the boats. The mothers were very protective and would only let them come so far before inserting themselves between the calf and the boat. What a thrill to see one of these enormous creatures spy hopping within yards of the boat. As we were early
in the season there were no crowds and we had the boats and the whale watching almost to ourselves.
The itinerary also allowed time for some great walks into the desert where Orloff introduced us to the
diverse flora of the peninsula. We also had time to explore the interesting cultural heritage of the area.
All in all it was a brilliant trip which we can highly recommend.

17-03-2015I had wanted to come to Baja to see the grey whales and their calves for many years and it lived up to all expectations! The partnership between Audley Travel and Mexico Profundo is an excellent one with shared goals and values aimed to ensure that visitors see the real Mexico. Our guide Orloff was exemplary and did everything to ensure a really first class experience of the flora and fauna as well as the highlight and star attraction - the whales. There are long days but the reward is getting away from the main tourist sites and accessing remote sites to enjoy the whales and countryside. Well done!

09-03-2015We have just completed a wonderful tour of Baja California with this Company. It was well organised and brilliantly guided. We had terrific whale watching Gray Whales (San Ignaceo Lagoon/Guerro Negro) Blue whales (Loretto Bay) Humpbacks (Cabo)and and Whale sharks (La Paz)saw and learnt alot about flora and fauna culture and history. Good dining and a brilliant experience. Organisation and guidance added a great deal of value. I would highly recommend this trip.

09-02-2015The cradle of the grey whale in January was really interesting and most enjoyable. There were few tourists and we were often the only boat in the water. The calves were very small and the mothers were very protective but they still came very close. We were surprised by the numbers of whales and the behaviours that we saw.
We even saw a little rain and a thunderstorm in the desert, as well as over 100 different bird species!
The historical and cultural aspects of the tour were also fascinating and the guides were very good.
We would recommend this to anyone considering this type of trip to Baja California.

20-10-2014We went on the Cradle of the Gray Whale trip in March 2014 and just looking over the photo's again now reminded me of how incredible the entire tour was. Stunning scenery, delicious food (even as a veggie!), plenty of culture, more cacti than you could ever imagine, and of course the stars of the show, the gray whales. The guides were all so friendly and never tired of answering the many questions put to them on a huge range of topics. They went out of their way to make sure you got the most out of every single day. Favourite moment for me has to be seeing the gray whales and their calves so close, though a freshly cooked lunch on the beach after a quick swim in the ocean was a close second! Wish I could go back and do it all again!

30-03-2014We have just returned from the Cradle of the Gray Whale tour, March 2014. This is one of our most memorable wildlife experiences ever and we have been on a number of safaris in Africa. Our transfer driver Jan and our guide Orloff were considerate, extremely knowledgeable and I cannot praise them highly enough. I touched a mother and baby gray whale and I will never forget such a special experience. This was a wonderful holiday.

15-02-2014Cradle of the Grey Whale, Feb. 1st -10th, 2014
We had a wonderful time in Baja California. Your arrangements worked perfectly and we both enjoyed every moment.
Our tour guide, Roderigo, was excellent. He was informative and attentive to our needs. Our Driver, Adalbert, was also excellent.
We all managed to stroke the Gray Whales and the experience was exhilarating. The scenery was fabulous and every day was enjoyable.
This trip is a little gem that, I think, most people are unaware of and it certainly has the ‘Wow’ factor.
We would highly recommend it to all travellers who enjoy truly delightful deserts and close contact with whales. I even saw blue whales from the sea shore.
Thank you again for your itinerary!

17-12-2013Baja Wildlife gave us a fantastic vacation itinerary. Everyday was a amazing adventure. There were so many memorable experiences that captured the nature, history, and culture of Baja California Sur: magnificent panoramas, unusual plants and animals, interesting missions, rock-paintings and colorful people. Orloff and his team were very knowledgeable, caring and willing to help in any way. We will be recommending this tour to friends and family. Thanks for giving us a vacation to remember.

02-06-20137-day tour- Cradle of the Whale - Baja California Sur
Close encounters and Interacting with Grey Whales in Baja California was an amazing experience which will always be with me. Everything was superb: the whale contact, the lightening encounter of Baja California Sur which demands to be revisited, an extremely knowledgeable guide and the smooth running of everything. A day's rest would have made the 2,000 + km trip perfect. I was also fortunate to have excellent, witty travelling companions.

23-03-20137-day tour- Cradle of the whale. Baja California.
A very informative and enjoyable tour. It included three wonderful whale-watching excursions, by boat, with Grey Whales and their calves interacting with us at close range. In addition to that, the tour leader, Orloff, gave us a most comprehensive introduction to the geography, geology, history, local flora and fauna, Mexican cuisine, and the economy of Baja California. The tour was immaculately organized and the transport was of high quality. Be prepared for long journeys, broken up by interesting stops, and long days. Overall: Highly recommended.
